Skilled Worker Visa FAQ

1. How long does it take to get a Skilled Worker Visa?
Most applications are processed within 3 to 8 weeks, depending on your country and whether you use a priority service. We ensure your application is complete to help avoid delays. Once your application is submitted, any delays are usually from the Home Office side.

2. Can my family join me on a Skilled Worker Visa?
Yes. You can bring dependants including your spouse, partner, and children, if they meet eligibility and financial requirements. We’ll help you prepare their applications too if required. Its usually best to do them all at the same time.

3. Can I change jobs on a Skilled Worker Visa?
Yes, but you’ll need a new Certificate of Sponsorship and updated permission from the Home Office. We’ll guide you through the switching process. Your new employer must also be authorised for sponsorship with the Home Office.

4. Can I apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) on this visa?
Yes. After 5 years of continuous employment, you may qualify for ILR if you meet salary, residency, and character requirements.

5. What happens if my Skilled Worker Visa is refused?
We’ll review your refusal letter, explain the reasons, and help you reapply correctly with stronger documentation to improve your success rate. Success or refusals are decisions of the Hoem Office and its not a process that we interfere with. Their decisions can sometimes be full and final, or they can give you the opportunity to appeal.
