We offer a limited number of free 15-minute initial consultations. Demand is high, so appointments may be booked up several days or weeks in advance. We review enquiries first and offer a free consultation when it is suitable and a slot is available.

A simpler way to get started
A free consultation can be useful, but it is not the only way to begin working with us. We have changed the first step so you can tell us what you need and hear which option may be suitable, without first waiting for an appointment.
When you contact us, we will review your enquiry and explain an appropriate next step. Depending on your circumstances, that may be a free initial consultation, a paid advice appointment, document review, application support or a referral if the matter falls outside our authorised scope.
You can also tell us if you are ready to proceed with a particular service. We will consider whether we can take on the work and explain the proposed scope and fee before you decide.
What happens after you send an enquiry?
1. Tell us briefly about your situation
A few clear details are enough to get started. Tell us what you are trying to do, where you are applying from, your current immigration status if relevant, and any important deadline.
2. We review what you need
We consider the type of help you are looking for and whether the matter appears to fall within our authorised scope. We may ask for more information if we need it to identify a suitable next step.
3. We explain your options
We will explain what type of support may be appropriate and whether a free consultation is suitable and available. If another service or referral is more appropriate, we will explain that too.
4. You decide whether to proceed
Before any paid work begins, we will explain the scope and fee. Sending an enquiry does not mean you have instructed us.
What is included in a free 15-minute consultation?
A free consultation is an initial, high-level conversation. It can help us understand what you are trying to achieve, identify the broad immigration issue and discuss whether AHJ may be able to help.
The consultation is not a full review of your immigration history, a document-by-document check or a detailed case strategy. If you need formal advice, a review of an application or help responding to a refusal, we will explain the appropriate service and any fee before you decide whether to proceed.
A consultation or enquiry cannot guarantee that an application will succeed or that AHJ will be able to accept the matter.
Who can contact us?
We receive enquiries from individuals, families and UK businesses about a range of immigration matters, including:

What should I include in my enquiry?
To help us understand what you need, include:

You do not need to write a full account or send a complete bundle of documents to make initial contact. We will let you know if further information is needed.

Can I contact you because I am ready to instruct you?
Yes. Tell us what work you need in your enquiry. We will consider whether we can accept it and explain the proposed scope, fee and next steps before you decide.
Will you review my documents during a free consultation?
No. The free 15-minute consultation is not a document review. If you need an application or evidence pack checked, tell us in your enquiry and we will explain the appropriate service.
Does sending an enquiry mean I have instructed AHJ Immigration?
No. We will first review your enquiry and explain the next step. Any instruction is subject to agreeing the work, fee and client care arrangements.
Can you help if I am applying from outside the UK?
You can enquire from inside or outside the UK. Whether we can assist depends on the type and complexity of the matter and whether it falls within our authorised scope.
